When I was a kid, I remember playing dress-up in my room with the music blaring, singing and acting my heart out to my favourite songs. Things have changed in many ways as a “Grown-Up” but I still dress-up and still have a soft spot in my heart for certain 90′s country songs.
I remember thinking of how my mom must feel every time I played Faith Hill’s “You Can’t Lose Me”. Now I find myself reflecting back with a daughter of my own and realizing this song was for her.
A few lyrics:
“You’re gonna lose the race from time to time
“But you’re always gonna find
“You can’t lose me
“Bet your life
“I am here and I will always be
“Just a wish away
“Wherever you go
“No matter how far
“My love is where you are
“You won’t be lost if you believe
“You can’t lose me”
